Abstract
We present the results of an experimental study of the mechanical condition of an aluminum alloy under vibratory loading. It is established that microdamage nucication and the subsequent failure of the material are associated with the weakening of the material as the result of the characteristic peculiarities of the behavior of the crystal structure during alternating cyclic deformation and their intensification in vibratory loading conditions. It is noted that in solving the vibratory strength problems it is necessary to consider the peculiarities of the fracture mechanism that are caused by vibratory loading.
