Abstract :
We find by the computer numerical statistical modeling (Monte-Carlo) method the stable values of the mathematical expectation and dispersion of the equivalent stresses (fourth theory of strength) in the structural elements of the linear part of the trunk pipelines as functions of four independent and normally-distributed random arguments: the internal pressure, the outer radius, the wall thickness, and the axial force for the case of the absence of analytic solutions. The results are used as the basis for calculating and predicting the service life and the operational reliability of the structural elements of the pipelines.
