Abstract :
Experimental data on the solubility and particle size distribution were obtained for use in the conceptual design of a drowning-out crystallization process for the purification of potassium sulfate in an aqueous feed. This process is compared to the conventional evaporative crystallization process in terms of equipment cost, energy requirement, process flows, and product crystal quality.
