Abstract :
A technique for analyzing the natural and forced vibrations of elastic plane frameworks composed of panels, variable-cross-section bars, and springs simulating the attachment conditions, is discussed. Both static and dynamic loadings are considered. An algorithm and the personal computer code are developed by approximating the displacements by polynomials and using the Ritz method. Vibrations of hydrofoils, space-based antennas, and groundʹbased radio telescopes are analyzed numerically,
