Abstract :
Synthesis of functionalized 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-(beta)-carboline derived enaminones, esters and nitriles has been developed via trifluoroacetic acid induced Bischler-Napieralski type cyclization of newly prepared polarized ketene N,S-acetals from tryptamine and polarized ketene dithioacetals.
