Abstract :
The synthesis of a variety of stable carbohydrate mimetics using a RCM approach is discussed. An esterification-RCM approach has been utilized for the preparation of a variety of alkyl, aryl (beta)-C-glycosides as well as a number of (beta)-Csaccharides.
