Abstract :
A simple, straightforward, and efficient method for the synthesis of polysubstituted 5-aminopyrimidine-2(1H)-thiones from vinyl azides and thiourea was developed. This reaction proceeded under relatively mild conditions and need no additional additives. Additionally, a possible mechanism for the entire sequence is proposed.
