Abstract :
The first synthesis of (+)-decaturin C, an antiinsectant diterpenoid isolated from Penicillium thiersii, was accomplished by starting from (R)-(−)-Wieland–Miescher ketone, in which our original spiro-cyclization reaction was featured as a key step.
