Abstract
The interaction of two parallel subterranean gas pipelines in a soft ground is considered in the case of emergency depressurizatfon of one of them due to the development of a through longitudinal crack. The coupled deformation of the pipe shells and the ground is simulated taking into account the nonlinear effects of large displacements and deformations, the shear and bulk plasticity of the ground, and the effect of the free surface. A numerical technique for solving the formulated nonlinear initialboundary-value problem is proposed. The results of numerical simulation of the emergency situation considered are presented. It is shown that emergency depressurization of a pipeline can lead to a collision of two close-by embedded gas pipelines.
