Abstract :
A vector method of analytic synthesis of guiding and transmission link mechanisms is discussed. An algorithm comprising all necessary operations, including the derivation of the vector equations of the reproduced lines and functions and the motion of the chosen mechanisms, is compiled. The efficiency of the method is demonstrated by synthesizing a plain antiparallelogram mechanism for reproducing the lemniscate of Bernoulli of given dimensions.
