Abstract :
Existence of professional staff in organizations is vital for competitions and surviving in the insecure environment. These staffs not only have to perform well but also have to work beyond their official organizational duties. Nowadays the organizations need professional staff in order to reach their goals, and several factors have influence in creating such kind of behavior. Thus, the current research studies the relationship between empowerment and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in the Refah Bank of Qazvin province. The methodology of this research is descriptive-survey and from the point of aim it is an applied research. The population includes managers and staff of Refah Bank, and among 244 individuals, 153 individuals were chosen by simple random sampling. The required data were collected through the Fisher standard questionnaire for empowerment, and Organ standard questionnaire for OCB which have been formulated based on the Likert rating scale, and they were analyzed by several tests of one-sample t-test, t for two dependent groups, Pearson correlation , and multiple regression. The research findings indicate that the status of empowerment and all of its components and also the OCB and all of its components among the staff are significantly higher than the average level. A positive and significant correlation exists between the empowerment and its dimensions with the OCB. In order to determine that which of the components of empowerment can well predict the OCB, the stepwise multiple regression was used. The statistical analysis results of this test showed that the share of variable of effectiveness, trust in others, and significance determined 22.1% of the variance of OCB. A significant difference exists between the empowerment of the staff and their OCB in Refah bank of Qazvin based on the demographic variables (gender, education level, work experience).
