Abstract :
A technique for determining the output parameters of bolted joints of the driven shaft unit of a spur reduction gearbox under the conditions of equal load-carrying capacity and reliability of its elements and with allowance for the scatter of disturbances is proposed. The output parameters of a bolted joint are viewed as functions of random arguments. The output parameters of the gearbox coupling bolts are determined by the methods of the theory of probability and mathematical statistics for a specified level of reliability. The dependence of the design rod diameter and the required pretension force on the torque is plotted for various reliability levels.
