CONTACT PROBLEMS OF ADJOINT SPHERES

Approaches to numerical solution of the contact problems of adjoint (one inserted into the other) solid spheres are compared for equal, nearly equal, and rather different radii. The displacements are calculated using the formulas derived by Zhemochkin for a base depressed by an axisymmetric load.
