Abstract :
Position systems for controlling hydraulic drives of two types (with a linear and a parabolic switching line on the displacement-velocity phase plane) are compared. It is shown that in the latter case a much higher speed of response can be reached for a practically complete absence of overpressure in the hydraulic cylinder cavities in passing to the retardation mode and approaching a given position. The specific features of the dynamics of such position hydraulic drives are analyzed after replacing a continuous control with a digital one, taking the effect of the driveʹs parameters and signal digitization on the quality and accuracy of the process of positioning into account.
