Abstract :
The problem of hydroelastic interaction between a structure and a fluid is considered by digitizing them by the Lagrange and Kuler method, respectively, converting the resulting equations to a symmetric matrix form, and solving by the frequency condensation method. An approximate method for taking fluid compressibility into account is proposed. An analysis of an accuracy of the proposed approach shows that for the frequencies below the acoustic spectrum, approximate allowance for compressibility makes it possible to obtain nearly accurate results with significantly smaller expenditures.
