Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of listening audio story on improving intermediate Iranian EFL learners` pronunciation. To achieve this purpose 42 intermediate learners from among 50 students of two classes were selected who were studying English as their foreign language at the ILI in Gonbad. The subjects were randomly assigned to two groups of control and experimental. To see the level of proficiency in two groups a pre-test was given then, the issue of pronunciation for control group was taught through traditional method of imitation after teacher, and the experimental one was treated through audio story technique. At the end of the experiment a post-test was administered to see the changes, if any. The results strongly indicated that the listening audio story technique significantly promotes intermediate Iranian EFL learners` pronunciation.
