A Study of the Relationship between Organizational Culture and Total Quality Management in Physical Education Organization of Iran

Following new theories and researches in management, organizational culture is becoming increasingly important and has established one of the main and focal discussions of management. Also for todayʹs organizations is a necessity total quality management for organizational viability and sustained competitive ability. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze effect of organizational culture on total quality management. The present study, in terms of practical purpose, and in terms of the nature and methods of research is descriptive - survey. Statistical population of this study is included (Physical Education General Department of West Country) for a period of the Second 6 months in 2012. Statistical population size is 750 and then by using Morgan table statistical sample was 254 people that sampling method of research is stratified. To collect data was used questionnaire (organizational culture: Denison (2000), total quality management: questionnaire of Shieh (2002)). Validity of questionnaire is confirmed by 3 members of University Professors, and reliability was shown with Cronbachʹs alpha for the organizational culture and total quality management, respectively (0.875 and 0.966). The results of testing hypotheses by stepwise regression showed that the variables of organizational culture are positive and significant effect on total quality management variables
