Abstract :
This study investigates the status of organizational commitment as well as its effect on the dependent variables including job satisfaction, turnover, absenteeism and delay and employee performance in Khatam-Ol-Anbia Hospital of Shahrood County. In terms of purpose, the study is an applied research. The study adopted a correlational method and a survey design. The population of the study consisted of all employees with Khatam-Ol-Anbia Hospital. The data was collected using a questionnaire and organizational documents. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated to be 0.93 using Cronbach’s alpha formula. The data was analyzed using one-way ANOVA, Spearman correlation coefficient and linear regression analysis. The results showed no significant correlation between organizational commitment and job satisfaction. However, there was a negative correlation of organizational commitment with turnover, absenteeism and delay. Moreover, the results revealed a positive correlation between organizational commitment and employee performance.
