The impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on villagers’ satisfaction with the quality of life

Considering the importance of a sustainable development for villages and the status of Iran, increasing villagers’ satisfaction with the quality of life can play a central role in promoting the situation of villages. In view of performing numerous roles in development approach and setting up a wide network that deals with playing these roles, ICT can bring about villagers’ satisfaction the quality of life. The research aims to investigate the effect of Information and Communication Technology on life quality. This study is a survey kind and conducted using a standard questionnaire instrument. Professors and experts acknowledged the validity of the questionnaire. The statistical population included the entire residents of the villages with the ICT offices of West Azerbaijan, namely 30294 individuals. Using a random stratified sampling, 195 villagers were chosen and studied from the villages of this province. The results of this study demonstrated that there is a significant relationship between the two variables in question and the villagers enjoyed further satisfaction with the quality of life at higher levels of using information and communication technology.
