Enhancement of field emission of carbon nanotubes using a simple microwave plasma method Original Research Article

A microwave plasma-based method for the enhancement of electron field emission behaviour of carbon nanotubes is presented. This method is shown to be able to unzip and exfoliate carbon nanotubes, thereby significantly increasing the field emission current due to the formation of more emitting tips.
