Abstract
Based on JACEE experience, several suggestions are made for new approaches to Antarctic balloon flights to collect data on cosmic ray spectra. Optimizing detector designs for likelihood of successful flight and recovery, facilities for realtime data download, integration of detector and flight support equipment, opportunities for interagency and international cooperation are among the topics discussed.
