Wavelength dependence of reflectance of Martian surface fogs Original Research Article

The existence of surface fogs in the Martian atmosphere has been expected from previous observations as well as numerical simulations. We plan to observe the fogs consisting of water ice particles with Mars Imaging Camera (MIC) on NOZOMI. Using a two-layer model, the wavelength dependence on the particle sizes in fogs is investigated in order to simulate the MIG data and to utilize the results for observation plan.
