Design and testing of the ULDB vehicle Original Research Article

The development and testing of the next generation of superpressure balloons that are part of the Ultra Long Duration Balloon project are presented. General descriptions of the subsystems that compose the balloon and the designs are shown and testing is also presented. Results of two test flights of scaled versions of the Ultra Long Duration Balloon Vehicle are highlighted along with future plans.
