ULF signals are ubiquitous phenomena in the Earthʹs environment. These signals are of magnetospheric, ionospheric and lithospheric origin. Theoretical considerations concerning ground-based recording of ULF signals are made revealing the usefulness of electric field measurements. An instrument for electric field measurement is described and some preliminary data presented.
