Abstract :
Recently, Jablonski presented an algorithm for the evaluation of the Chandrasekhar image function based on Romberg integration. We wish to point out that a very efficient method based on the evaluation of the image function of neutron transport already exists. In particular, the image and image functions evaluation through the Double Exponential quadrature implemented by us earlier is a very economical and accurate prescription that has a speedup factor that ranges from 18 to 147.
