Mathematical model of hypersonic plasma flows expanding in vacuum Original Research Article

The paper is aimed to illustrate advantages of our new mathematical model of the electric propulsion jet emitting from a spacecraft. Describing the dynamics of the jet, the model employs continual approximation and allows for the effect of electrical fields and currents as well as thermal processes. It facilitates calculation of self-similar distribution of parameters in two- and three-dimensional jet.
