Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a multi-symplectic splitting method to solve the coupled nonlinear Schrödinger (CNLS) equation by using the idea of splitting the multi-symplectic partial differential equation (PDE). Numerical experiments show that the proposed method can simulate the propagation and collision of solitons well. The corresponding errors in global energy and momentum are also presented to show the good preservation property of the proposed method during long-time numerical calculation.
