Supercyclides and blending Original Research Article

Plane/cone and plane/cylinder supercyclide blends are studied. It is proven that supercyclide blends along specified ellipses exist in these cases if and only if the plane and the quadric intersect in an ellipse. An algorithm is given that constructs a supercyclide blend that is the affine transformation of a cyclide blend. Examples from our implementation are provided.
