Abstract :
Kinetic equations which consider a catalytic effect of chromium on the coke burn-off reaction have been tested in the simulation of the regeneration of a coked Cr2O3/Al2O3 catalyst in a fixed-bed reactor. A modified grain model which used low activation energy has acceptably predicted the temperature rise and the residual carbon concentration profiles during the burn-off reaction.
