Reaction phase effect on tertiary butyl alcohol synthesis by air oxidation of isobutane Original Research Article

Direct introduction of air to supercritical phase isobutane exhibited high activity for selective synthesis of tertiary butyl alcohol, especially on SiO2single bondTiO2 and Pd/carbon catalysts. Remarkable enhancement of activity around critical point was observed if the reaction phase changed to supercritical state.
