Abstract
The oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) reaction has been carried out in a recently developed gas recycle reactor–separator (GRRS), with which high C2 hydrocarbon and ethylene yield values can be achieved. In the present study a near 100-fold scale up for the GRRS is presented which has been achieved without significant losses in reactor performance. C2 yield values up to 53% have been obtained with corresponding ethylene yield of 45% using Mn/Na2WO4/SiO2 and Sr/La2O3 catalysts.
