Abstract :
Marine natural products are an untapped source for drug development. In this monthʹs Chemistry & Biology, Gerwick and coworkers describe the biosynthetic genes for novel neurotoxins, jamaicamides A–C from Lyngbya majuscula, bringing closer the goal of producing marine natural products in terrestrial hosts.
