Abstract :
Molecular interactions can be detected using single engineered ion channels as stochastic sensors. This approach is used to examine events between a kinase and an inhibitor peptide tethered to an engineered channel [] showing agreement with macroscopic biochemical data, as well as a tantalizing surprise.
