Abstract
Using high-throughput screening, Jo et al. in this issue of Chemistry & Biology [] have identified SEW2871 as a structurally unique sphingosine 1-phosphate1 (S1P1) receptor agonist. SEW2871 binds to and activates the S1P1 receptor and initiates a survival signaling pathway similar to that of S1P.
