Abstract :
A kinematic model of a rack-and-pinion type steering linkage is developed, on the basis of which the synthesis of the mechanism is performed using the criteria of correct turning of the wheels and good transmissibility of the motion. The kinematic analysis of the mechanism is also carried out and output diagrams are presented for the case of a four-wheel-drive light tractor.
