Abstract :
Despite the Bennett loopʹs modest appearance as merely a skew, 4-hinge, 4-bar chain and the great attention which has been accorded it over almost a century, the axodes of its motion have not previously been delineated. That task is carried out here, and there is also established the relationship between the ruled surface and the corresponding centrode of the linkageʹs planar form. The occasion is taken to determine as well the fixed axode of the Schatz loopʹs central coupler.
