A system for measuring the directional room acoustical parameters

A new system has been developed for measuring the directional parameters of room acoustics. The lateral component (LC), front to back ratio (FBR) and left to right ratio (LRR) of directional room impulse responses are easy to measure with this system. The system was used to take measurements in a multi-purpose hall (for concerts, conventions and exhibitions). The directional parameters of early reflection were sensitive to room shape, wall materials and the positions of seats.
