Hot rolling technique and profile design of tooth-shape rolls: Part 1. Development and research on H-beams with wholly corrugated webs

A wholly corrugated webs (WCW) H-beam has been rolled successfully in Yanshan University, China. The key component of the hot rolling technique of an H-beam with WCW is the profile design for the gear-shape rolls of the universal finishing stand. In this paper, according to the basic law of tooth roll working, the roll profile curve equation has been determined.
