Abstract :
The present study is aimed to carry out some experimental studies with a view to compare some of the theoretical results predicted (using SERR analysis) with that obtained from the experiment. Experiments are performed for hexagon, channel, triangle and cross-type sections using square dies. An extrusion test rig is designed and developed for the said purpose and all extrusions are carried out using rectangular billets.
