Application of a system for sheet metal forming design

This paper presents an application of selected elements of a process (S-Rail) design for sheet metal forming. The system is based on the incorporation of the forming-limit stress diagram (FLSD), the wrinkling stress diagram and constitutive equations into the MARC finite-element package. The calculation of the FLSD was determined by perturbation analysis of deformation.
