Strategic FEM simulator for innovation of rolling mill and process

Strategic finite element method (FEM) simulator for innovation of rolling mills and rolling processes, named ‘CORMILL System’, has been developed. More than 10 000 results obtained by CORMILL System have been used for the technological innovation of various rolling mill and rolling process. Results of application of CORMILL System to design rolling strategies for strip rolling with pair-cross-mill, wire rolling with 2-, 3- and 4-roll mills and caliber design of various sections, will be presented and discussed.
