The rheological behavior for thixocasting of semi-solid aluminum alloy (A356)

Under the condition of die-casting and reheating temperature of 570–580 °C, the rheological behavior for thixocasting of semi-solid aluminum alloy (A356) is pseudoplastic at the shear rate of 2×103 to 104 s−1, and is dilatancy at the rate over 106 s−1. It is given a new model of metal mush during thixocasting.
