Continuous jet penetration of solid materials

In this study it was tried to work out a theory that analytically describes the penetration of a wide range of solid materials by high velocity continuous water jet. Applying the Navier–Stokes equation to a special control volume in the water jet and using the Bingham model to describe the behaviour of the affected matter a closed-form solution was derived for the cutting depth as a function of time.
