Parametrical excitement vibration in tandem mills—mathematical model and its analysis

Chatter vibration phenomena in tandem rolling mill has been studied with use of mathematical models of parametrical self-excited vibration of the system. It has been shown that the criterion of the investigated vibration occurrence must be considered including the form of transverse vibration of the strip coupling the neighbouring stands of the series.
