Surface quality analysis of the electropolishing of cemented carbide

Cemented carbide (containing difficult-to-dissolve metal—tungsten and non-metal—carbon) has been a problem of electropolishing for many years. In this paper, the key problem of how to obtain a stable, uniform and fine surface of cemented carbide by electropolishing, is discussed. The study is conducted such that the electrolyte compound employed is harmless, long-term efficacious and economical. Furthermore, a special power of electropolishing is developed.
