Evaluation of metal stamping layouts using an analytic hierarchy process method

This paper presents a strip-layout selection procedure pertaining to metal die stamping work in complex layout situations. The method is based on analytic hierarchy process. The proposed strip-layout index helps to evaluate and rank any given set of strip-layout alternatives. The procedure is illustrated by means of an example.
