Abstract :
Over the last 10 years, a well-known modern concept of machining has been realised by means of HSC, the high-speed cutting. The concept enabled the invention of new cutting materials used by up-to-date machine tools. The paper focuses on different types of highly demanding fire-resistant steel alloy (the same shape) with 17% Cr, 25% Cr–0.6% Ti, 25% Cr–Al in order to research the machinability and select the optimal machining parameters. It also describes the analysis of process capabilities for all dimensions of the product named Insert, made from materials presented above. The key goal of the research is to make a plan for the mass production of the parts in the automotive industry.
