Abstract :
The temperatures of transformation Ttr and melting Tm and the enthalpies of transformation ΔtrH and melting ΔmH were measured by difference thermal analysis and by anisothermal calorimetry. The results for the hcp-bcc transformation of Be are Ttr = (1269 ± 1)°C and ΔtrH = (6100 ± 500) J/mol and those for the melting process are Tm = (1283 ± 2)°C and ΔmH = (7200 ± 500) J/mol.
