Abstract :
The Skyrme approach (a model of QCD in the classical limit) is capable of giving the principal features of the static nucleon-antinucleon interaction including, for the first time, the sharp onset of annihilation. We discuss these results as well as how they might be tied to the previous success of the Skyrme approach in describing the annihilation channels, to provide a full theoretical description of annihilation from start to finish.
