Abstract :
Enthalpies of solution and apparent molar volumes have been determined for butyramide in aqueous formic acid, acetic acid and propionic acid solutions using a C-80 microcalorimeter and vibrating tube digital densimeter. From the data, enthalpic and volumetric interaction coefficients were obtained. The pair interaction coefficients are discussed from the point of view of dipole–dipole and structural interactions and we have also tried to interpret the triplet interaction coefficients according to the solvent separated association pattern.
